Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a mature professional with the ability to work with remote and international teams. The candidate must have previous strong experience in QA Automation working in Java environments and Selenium.

It is essentially made for companies that need to get money fast and smooth to African consumers as well as for companies that need to collect mobile money from their customers.

Responsibility

• Setup and support k8s cluster
• Change monitoring system for better observation ability and responsiveness
• Deploy process optimization
• Cloud and non-cloud architecture changes
• Work with MySQL
  

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
• Good knowledge of Linux
• Experience with CI (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitCI, Travis)
• Ability to code simple programs in Python / Java / Kotlin
• Good understanding of network stack
• Experience in building private networks (VPN, secure network, multi-cloud)
• Experience with network packet filters (iptables, ipfw, BPF)
• Good understanding of IP, HTTP and HTTPs protocols
• Experience with HAProxy, Envoy or nginx is a plus
  

Beneficial skills

• Good knowledge of Git
• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes internals, cgroups and namespaces
• Practical experience in MySQL DB management
• Knowledge of Redis and Kafka
• Knowledge of monitoring stack (Prometheus/Grafana or similar)
• Knowledge of ELK stack (or similar)
