Description
As our new Junior Accountant you will provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks for Estonian entity. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and clarity for the company’s finances. Preparing financial statements and reporting are a large part of the junior accountant’s day-to-day work. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition. This way it can make the right decisions and accomplish long term success.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the proper accounting and reporting of all transactions
- Take charge of inter-company reconciliations, the preparation of financial statements as well as VAT and CIT returns
- Establish and/or implement all relevant accounting policies
- Assist with the coordination of the audits and tax of various subsidiaries
- Coordinate and execute on special projects where needed and support other processes
- Supporting the preparation of the day-to-day bookkeeping activities of our Estonian company
- Assisting in the preparation of annual accounts
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements
- Cash monitoring and follow-up on invoice approval and payment instructions
- Supporting tax consulting firms in the preparation of VAT and tax returns
- Assist with other accounting projects
Requirements
- Proven experience as a junior accountant
- Ability to work independently and reliably, resilience even during hectic periods
- Great attention to detail
- Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software
- Qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is a plus but not required
- BSc/Ba in accounting, finance or relevant field
- Experience in crypto currencies and blockchain technology is a plus
