Our team is expanding and we are looking for a new team member.
The Senior Business Analyst will join the Risk Insights Unit within Luminor’s Risk Division which is responsible for Business Intelligence, Business Analysis and Research across all risk areas. You will lead the work with business requirements for Change the Bank (CtB) initiatives, BI & analysis, process improvement, conducting research and insights activities.

Responsibilities:
- Provide an overarching view on data, linked to the portfolio management and business insight; effectively use data, domain (risk) knowledge and BI tools to support management decision making;
- Deliver data-driven insights for emerging risk themes on ad-hoc one-off or idiosyncratic complex situations with analyses, reports and dashboards, data visualization, research and insights, written recommendations;
- Drive report digitalization program to consolidate, simplify and automate risk reports into self-service dashboards via dedicated BI platform;
Manage the backlog of ad-hoc requests and ensure that is completed and appropriately executed; - Set-up best practices on requirements engineering, business analysis and process mapping;
- Collect and analyse external data to perform ad-hoc analysis and benchmarks on emerging risk themes and other idiosyncratic, complex situations;
- Support the development of the team including coaching junior members on business analysis, state of the art visualization, business analytics, delivery of senior management ready material and subject matter expert engagement;
- Continuously raise and follow through the ideas for optimization and improvement of solutions and/or processes.
Skills and Experience:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need at least 5+ years of experience working in business intelligence area, with a sound knowledge in business analytics and exceptional analytical skills. You are also educated to a higher degree in Economics, Mathematics, Business Management, Risk Management, Finance or other related subject.
We look forward for a relevant background and good understanding in financial services, risk management, modelling and statistical techniques.
You will also demonstrate:
- Experience working with risk data or within risk management area;
- The ability to translate complex datasets and statistical techniques into simple, easily understood concepts – visually, verbally and in writing;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to visualize and report insights creatively in a variety of formats to various stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
- Expertise on business differences across products and countries, market trends and behavior;
- Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading transformational or improvement initiatives in complex, dynamic environments;
- Demonstrated experience of working in cross functional teams and managing stakeholders with a strong orientation towards achieving results;
- Respected and trusted leadership with proven track record of achievement, and reputation as a leader of change and passion for agility and simplicity;
- Seeking to find optimal solutions, innovative and curious mindset.
