Ericsson Supply Tallinn & Baltics IT team is looking for an IT System Administrator who will provide support with the administration and maintenance of the Tallinn factory IT operations. One of your main focus areas will be the logging and monitoring of factory IT systems to ensure smooth operations. Your role will also include working closely with suppliers of IT systems and co-workers in the development and delivery of Smart Manufacturing solutions.
As an IT System Administrator, you will:
- Deliver production computer systems that maintain high availability of applications to the business users across the company as per design specification or business need
- Perform both routine and non-routine system administration tasks for daily operations of the production environment
- Support and maintain servers and workstations
- Maintain databases of business and production systems
- Develop and implement new technologies and processes in production, to ensure continuous improvements
- Resolving work orders and incidents opened by end users for servers, workstations and applications
- Write and maintain up-to-date documentation about tools and products used in factory IT operations
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Minimum Required Experience: at least 2 years of supporting an enterprise environment
- Solid hands-on experience with Linux and Windows
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V/VMware)
- Experience of setting up and handling physical hardware servers & databases (MSSQL)
- Solid understanding of firewalls, networking, IT security principles, cloud technologies, virtualization, storage and backup
- Readiness for maintenance work and critical incident resolution outside of normal working hours
- Self-motivated, proactive, flexible, reliable attitude
- Critical and analytical thinking with problem-solving mindset
- Good spoken and written English with good communication skills
Your application will stand out if you have:
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (such as Nagios, TrueSight, Thruk, ManageEngine, SolarWinds or Zabbix)
- Experience with Graylog, Elasticsearch or MongoDB
- Knowledge and experience in automation (Ansible, Puppet)
- Experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes
- Russian and/or Estonian proficiency
- ITIL certification
