YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a proactive DevOps Engineer for our Tallinn location. You will join a vibrant international distributed team of infrastructure and automation experts who work fully agile. As a proven Engineer you feel the strong need for automation while building and designing the environment for our users such as Developers, Analysts, and back-office colleagues. Infrastructure as a code is not just a buzz word, you are expected to lobby for appropriate methodologies and trends to bring them to life in our organization.

If you have knowledge about Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket pipeline, Docker, Kubernetes, automated tests, Kibana, Elasticsearch, Telegraf, InfluxDB then you will feel right at home. As a distributed company we rely on secure network connectivity that “just works”. Your expertise is very much welcome.

Your day-to-day tasks:

• Administration of Windows-Clients in an Active Directory environment including software packaging and distribution.
• Installation, operation, and enhancement of the IT infrastructure as well as creation and maintenance of corresponding documentation.Management and configuration of virtualized Windows and Linux servers.
  Organization and monitoring of internal network infrastructure.
  Analyzing systems to mitigate any potential weak points.
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure.
  Maintaining smooth CI/CD pipelines.
  Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results.
• Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions.Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
  Creation of IT concepts and collaboration in various IT projects.
  Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
  Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’.

FOR SUCCEEDING IN THE ROLE YOU…

• have practical experience in system administration in Windows or Linux environment (ideally both) for at least 2 years;
• possess firm knowledge about networks connectivity (router, switches, firewalls, VPN, DNS);
• have a good understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies (Kanban);
• enjoy working through issues in a proactive, systematic, detailed, and (when needed) creative way;
• appreciate team-work, smooth communication, and good relationships with all stakeholders;
• have a passion to drive and share knowledge in the team and internal community;
• have knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and configuration languages (Ansible).
• feel comfortable working 100% in English, German knowledge is a plus.

Knowledge about additional programming languages like Java, JavaScript, Go is a plus. Practical experience with Azure or AWS cloud platform and CI/CD tools (Bitbucket pipeline, Jenkins) will give you an advantage.
