Back End Developer

We are not just the average web agency. Eklips specializes in corporate and transaction websites, mainly for publicly traded companies. We work with companies on all major Nordic stock exchanges and marketplaces, including Nasdaq, Euronext, and Spotlight.  Our clients span from small growth companies to global enterprises.

We play a key role in our clients' communication. Our goal is simple - to develop websites that make work simpler for communications professionals. Our technical framework is the offspring of our deep knowledge and understanding of corporate communication and the capital market.

We work in a fast-paced environment, oftentimes with several time-critical projects ongoing at the same time, which requires efficient teamwork and open communication.

Eklips is present in both Sweden and Estonia. Our team of developers is located in Estonia and is used to work both remotely and together at the office in Tallinn. We try to get together and hangout after work as often as possible.

Our business is flourishing and we have big plans for the future! To keep growing, we are now looking to expand our team of developers with yet another Back End Developer.

Your responsibilities will be the following:  

• Lead and collaborate in the development of both internal projects and client websites. 
• Follow industry best practices as well as Eklips’s coding standards. 
• Keep up with industry trends and contribute to knowledge sharing throughout the development team and company as a whole. 
• Make quality assurance a top priority by testing, refactoring, and optimizing code to achieve the best performance, and strive for flawless and bug-free projects.
  

We are looking for a forward-thinking person who likes to drive change, is passionate about development and has strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. To be successful in this role, you should also have the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at the same time.

Furthermore, we are looking for the following skills and experiences:   

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.  
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Back End Developer, ideally in an agency environment. 
• PHP & MySQL  
• Experience with WordPress and Apache2
