In this critical role you will:

• Drive the architecture and implementation of data infrastructure
• Design and implement ETL processes
• Develop and continuously optimise our pricing and demand forecasting models
• Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide reports
• Support growth and acquisition efforts by analysing and validating hypothesis in growth projects
• Provide new insights and create new hypotheses
• Develop and maintain system to ensure timely reporting of financial and non-financial business metrics
• Build and maintain system to evaluate new digital and physical products and make all new product launches fully data-driven
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Enable all team members to make data-driven decisions independently
• Ensure data integrity
• Help hire, onboard and mentor colleagues

What we look for:

• Person who is ready to join a tech startup team as the first data engineer
• BSc in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics or equivalent
• 3+ years experience dealing with large volumes of data
• Best-in-class SQL skills
• Experience with ETL processes
• Experience with setting up architecture for data warehouse or data lake
• Experience with Python or R
• Experience with Google Analytics and at least one of the popular BI and data visualization tools
• Experience with business and financial analytics
• Energetic personality with a lot of curiosity to learn
• Fluent in English
• Good communication skills
• Inner drive to make customers happy by providing them the best experience
