About the role
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to work across all our products. You will design, implement, and maintain core services and APIs, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and clean architecture. You’ll take ownership of technical decisions, contribute to system design, and help set engineering standards across teams. The role also includes working closely with our AI Solutions team to integrate AI-driven functionality into our products, as well as using AI tools in your own development workflow to improve productivity and code quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience & Ownership
- 5+ years of backend development experience
- Strong ownership mindset; comfortable taking systems from idea to production
- Pragmatic decision-maker in fast-moving environments
Backend & Architecture
- Build and maintain Java services using Spring Boot in Docker-based environment
- Design scalable, maintainable service architectures
Data infrastructure
- Use MariaDB and Elasticsearch for core product and analytics needs
- Apply Redis for caching and performance improvements
AWS & Event-Driven Systems
- Hands-on experience with AWS, including ECS, SQS, Kinesis, Lambda
- Build and operate event-driven, data-intensive systems
- Experience with Redshift, Glue, and Athena is a plus
CI/CD & Operations
- Own CI/CD pipelines and deployments using GitHub
- Take responsibility for production stability and improvements
