Join one of the worlds leading water and environmental consultancies in our mission to tackle global water challenges. Were seeking a Solution Architect for our Business Applications team to help shape and expand our integrated IT landscape, supporting both our advisory and software business lines in a truly international setting.
Our Business Applications team, placed in Core IT, is responsible for maintaining all the software that runs our business, including ERP, CRM, BI and HRM as well as a broad portfolio of specific applications primarily related to our advisory and software businesses. Our ecosystem consists mainly of Microsoft tools and platforms, but we are by no means MS exclusive.
Your responsibilities and challenges
We are currently seeking an experienced Solution Architect for our Business Applications team. You will be responsible for overall BA architecture as well as ensuring sustainable development and maintenance of integrations between Business Applications. You will be expected to:
- Act as lead architect on key Business Application projects.
- Produce design documentation for master data/metadata architecture, cross app workflows and data integrations.
- Facilitate continuous improvement & simplification in integration landscape.
- Review changes to integrations/master data architecture.
- Lead technical stakeholder management for integration between Business Applications and software development teams.
- Be a key participant in technology choice, platform strategy and roadmap.
- Help ensure performance, reliability, maintainability, data governance, compliance, security and cost-effective licensing in Business Applications.
- Ensure that we have the necessary infrastructure and data governance to implement AI at scale.
Your qualifications and personal skills
- MsC in IT-related field.
- Relevant certifications.
- Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem, including:
- Dynamics 365 CE Dataverse, workflows, Sales, Customer Journey, Marketing
- Power Platform Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages/Portals
- SharePoint, Canvas Apps:
- Fabric
- Active Directory/Entra ID
- Integration tools and data platforms (Data Factory, Event Grid, Service Bus etc.)
- Microsoft Azure (e.g., App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, DevOps etc.)
Experience required
- We expect a history of hands-on experience designing and implementing BA solutions in Microsoft heavy environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud native architecture best-practices, integration design and security.
- Team skills:
- We expect you to be an excellent colleague and stakeholder manager,
- Ability to balance short-term delivery needs with long-term architectural integrity,
- Experience with architecture governance or technical/thought leadership in cross-functional teams,
- Proficiency in English required.
Nice to Have
- E-commerce platform/workflow knowledge (Stripe, ERP workflows etc).
- Experience working with service based business models, i.e. billable hours.
- Experience working with software product based business models including cloud.
- Experience with effective licensing strategies in the Microsoft suite of tools.
Proficient in Business English, both written and spoken.
