We are seeking a specialist to join our long-term project which has been in production for several years and manages a high volume traffic every day (up to 1 million users per day). As a member of our approximately 20-person team, you will play a crucial role in this new growing direction. The core business logic is already well-established and functioning seamlessly.

abz.agency® is a software development company and trusted outsourcing partner. Our main focus is on custom web application, website, browser extension development. We also have some exposure to mobile/desktop app development. We are a European company with development offices in Ukraine. We work only with clients from western counties: USA, EU, Australia, etc. We do not work with any CIS countries (also we do not have clients in Ukraine). That's why basic English knowledge is required.

In collaboration with our highly experienced colleagues, you will be building new infrastructure on AWS, GCP and possibly other cloud providers and also maintaining existing AWS and Heroku based infrastructure, as well as migrating the remaining parts of the service from Heroku to AWS/GCP. In addition to that, there are several other projects where you can contribute in the future as well.

Test assignment

The vacancy involves a test assignment as one step in the hiring process. It is quite basic - just to test your skills.
The Company may, at its sole discretion, not provide applicants with the reason for being rejected and technical details of the test completed.
Once getting to the 3rd stage of the interview, the candidate will have the opportunity to receive feedback from a technical specialist regarding your test assignment including technical details.

Our working conditions

First month will be a paid Company Bootcamp period.
Company Bootcamp period paid as fixed monthly payment.
Always stable and on time salary.
Official employment (by contract).
Salary is calculated in €/h, with loads of 160 to 200 or more hours per month (all spent time is paid).
Additionally: company pays Bench as 75% from rate and FuckUp pays as 50% from rate.
Revision of the hourly rate every six months up to +50% (according to company regulations).
Quarterly bonus, project performance based.
English classes 2 times per week (groups of two people, after work hours).
MacBook Pro 14/16, 4K monitor, stand, mouse, keyboard, headphones, comfortable chair, company branded T-shirt and mug.
Working day from 8:00 to 17:00 (The plan for the day is made at the stand-up meeting and must be accomplished (considering common sense) within the day according to the checkpoints. After accepting the work, the PM finalizes the working day).
Breakfast, lunches and other things in the kitchen at the expense of the company (coffee, tea, cookies, sweets, yogurts and drinks in the refrigerator).

Requirements

2+ years of experience as a DevOps / SRE / build engineer / etc. similar infrastructure role;
Experience with AWS or GCP cloud provider;
Experience with Terraform, Docker and Python scripting;
Experience in creating CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Bitbucket Pipelines;
Strong interest in infrastructure and DevOps/SRE culture;
Good understanding of CI/CD and IaaC paradigms;
Strong understanding of code versioning tools (Git);
Passion for software engineering, learning, and continuous improvement;
Ownership mentality;
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment;
Out-of-the-box thinking.

Additional Skills (Nice to Have)

Experience with Windows and iOS/Android apps build pipelines is a big plus;
Software development experience;
Experience with Digital Ocean, Heroku or other cloud providers;
Experience with Terragrunt or other IaaC tools;
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, AWS ECS;
Experience in network planning (CIDR ranges calculation, routing, VPN);
Experience with firewalls, network security;
SRE mindset.

After successfully completing the onboarding and starting your collaboration with us, you will receive a PDP (Personal Development Plan). Your PM will help you plan your further growth and learning during your free time. Additionally, you will gain expertise in a variety of technologies depending on the projects you are assigned to. We also offer English courses twice a week.

Within the PDP framework, you can deepen your knowledge in your current field or even switch to a different direction. At our company, you will continue to grow constantly, with small breaks as per our guidelines, allowing you to enjoy the moment and then proceed with your development.
