We are an independent, locally established, and owned Latvian company with Pan-European aspirations. AOX Trade is an energy trading firm operating in short and long-term electricity markets both domestically and abroad. We use science to predict future outcomes and support the development of efficient, competitive electricity markets through sound investment and trading.
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as the Country Manager for the B2B Energy Market in Estonia. In this key role, you will be responsible for driving business growth, building strong B2B relationships, and ensuring compliance with local energy regulations. If you're a proactive and results-driven professional with a passion for the energy sector, this is your opportunity to shape the future of our business in Estonia.
 
Responsibilities:
  •      Develop and implement the company's business strategy and operational plans within the local electricity market
  •      Identify, approach, and secure new B2B clients, focusing on long-term partnerships and revenue growth
  •      Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and market participants
  •      Monitor and interpret local energy market regulations, ensuring full compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements
  •      Represent the company in industry associations, regulatory discussions, and professional forums
  •      Manage and oversee participation in public and private procurement processes, including the preparation, submission, and follow-up of required documentation
  •      Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to support strategic decision-making
  •      Collaborate closely with board members and managers to ensure seamless execution of market strategies
  •      Act as the primary point of contact for all matters related to the country's energy market operations
  •      Prepare regular performance reports, forecasts, and strategic insights for board members
  •      Ensure that all business activities in the country align with corporate values, policies, and compliance standards 
  •      Build local team
 
Requirements:
  •      Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Law, or a related field.
  •      5+ years of experience in a senior business development, country management or similar role, preferably with a focus on electricity markets or B2B energy services.
  •      Proven track record in business development, client acquisition, and managing B2B relationships.
  •      In-depth understanding of national legislation and regulatory frameworks governing the electricity market.
  •      Experience with regulatory compliance and market entry strategies
  •      Experience in procurement processes, including preparing and managing tender documentation, negotiations, and contracts
  •      Proven ability to develop and execute business strategies and operational plans
  •      Effective communication skills across all channels, strong business acumen and strategic thinking
  •      Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Estonian, English and Russian languages
  •      Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  •      Willingness to travel within the country and occasionally abroad
  •      Experience working with governmental or regulatory bodies and/or membership in relevant professional or industry associations is an advantage
