Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Conversational AI team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain the backend systems that power our AI-driven conversational interfaces. Your expertise will directly enhance the user experience, making it more intuitive, responsive, and intelligent. Moreover, you will be at the forefront of building the next generation of customer support assistants using LLMs, RAG, and Agentic AI. This includes developing solutions for both end-customer facing applications and internal business challenges. This is a freelancer/contracting role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop backend for natural language understanding, dialogue management, and response generation.
- Implement and optimize AI algorithms for efficiency and scalability.
- Integrate ML models into our conversational platform.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of conversational AI systems, identifying areas for improvement.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and ML technologies, applying new techniques and best practices to our systems.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our machine learning pipelines and infrastructure.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to high-quality coding standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Prior experience in developing chatbots or voice assistants using generative AI.
- Product building experience, at least 5 years.
- Proven experience in machine learning, specifically in natural language processing (NLP) and conversational AI.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks (e.g. Llamaindex, LangChain, FastAPI, vector databases).
- Hands-on experience working with LLMs and RAG.
- Knowledge of backend development, including APIs, microservices, and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with machine learning deployment tools and practices.
- Good English knowledge.
