Areas of responsibility:
- Monitor and control production processes via control systems and operator panels.
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure that products meet customer requirements and specifications.
- Follow instructions for melting, casting, rolling and other steps in steel production.
- Detect and correct deviations in processes and machines in collaboration with technicians and maintenance personnel.
- Ensure that safety procedures are followed and participate in the work to ensure a safe working environment.
- Contribute to improvement efforts to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure the highest level of order and cleanliness to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
- Actively contribute to creating a safe work environment by participating in the development and maintenance of process control and safety procedures.
- Be a role model in driving a culture where safety is always the top priority by coaching and guiding less experienced colleagues to together create a safe and efficient workplace.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Documented qualifications in workplace safety (e.g. OSHA, working in confined spaces, working at heights).
- Experience in developing working methods and participating in development projects.
- Hot work certificate.
- Additional certificates (e.g. crane operator's certificate, welding certificate) are an advantage.
- Good knowledge of English; basic knowledge of Swedish is a plus.

Experience:
- Experience working in a steel mill or other relevant metalworking operation.
- Experience working with mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience in handling equipment for hot rolling processes.

We are looking for Process Operators to join the team at Stegra Boden. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the steel mill. As a Process Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our steel products to customers worldwide.

Stegra is an industrial impact company with the ambition to reduce carbon emissions in the fossil-intensive industries that have the hardest time transitioning. We are building our first plant for large-scale production of green hydrogen, green iron and green steel in Boden. The company was founded in 2020 as H2 Green Steel and changed its name to Stegra in 2024.
