Stockmann People and Culture unit is looking for a

TRAINER, DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

to join our international People Development team and act as a sales staff coach, trainer and specialist in learning and development. This is a permanent position, and it is located in Tallinn.

  

You are responsible for developing, executing, and evaluating L&D programs that ensure proper professional development for Stockmann staff in Estonia. You drive forward continuous learning culture and support with translating business needs into measurable learning objectives. You ensure implementation of division level initiatives, give support in key development projects and continuous learning and act as sales coach to boost Merchant Mindset competences in Tallinn department store.

 

Your main daily tasks will include:

  • creating training and communication materials
  • coaching Merchant mindset competences in the organization
  • acting as trainer / facilitator in areas of B2C sales, Merchant mindset, and other topics of personal expertise
  • actively promoting continuous learning opportunities including learning the flow of work, in organized courses and training programs, with peer-to-peer and guided learning (mentors) and via individual online learning  
  • actively communicating the L&D agenda and success stories to local people leaders and team members via company intranet, Teams, e-mail and other channels and translating company training materials in Estonian
  • ensuring that training and development activities are conducted in accordance with the Stockmanns values, policies and standards efficiently
  • administrative work e.g. admin for Stockmanns eLearning platform, keeping training hours and expenses reports up to date
  • support local people leaders and team members in identifying training and development needs
  • participating in development and implementation of L&D processes, standards and operating procedures both on national and international level

 

What are we looking for?

As the position will have an emphasis in Learning and Development Specialist role and in experienced sales competences trainer role, we are looking for a very good team player who is customer centric, with merchant mindset combined with passion to develop customer – and employee experiences and drive continuous learning culture.

You should have:

  • 5 or more years of experience in learning and development, preferably in customer service area
  • Bachelor's degree or studies in Adult Learning, Organization Development, or HR required
  • knowledge of adult learning theory, needs analysis, modern learning methods, learning design and evaluation methodology
  • strong coaching experience
  • very good competence in coordination
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Estonian and English language
  • strong skills in modern workplace and learning tools, ability to produce content in various ways (presentations, videos, podcasts etc).

We also would like you to have:

  • strong collaboration skills and the ability to work as part of a matrixed team in a dynamic environment
  • strong motivation to work in changing retail environment
  • prioritizing skills
