The Job in a Nutshell

Coolbet is looking for an Accounting Team Lead to join our dynamic Finance team. In this role you'll play a vital role in ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulations, guaranteeing that accounting and reporting data meet the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of 3-4 accountants, overseeing the reporting process to meet deadlines while optimizing resource allocation for maximum efficiency. Your work will directly contribute to Coolbet's strategic planning and facilitate informed decision-making for management and other stakeholders.

A Sneak Peek into Your Role

Establishing an internal control environment for daily accounting and reporting activities.
Coordinating the audit process for a group of companies on behalf of Coolbet and compiling annual reports for Coolbet group companies.
Providing support to the team in implementing MEC procedures and ensuring adherence to month-end closing and reporting deadlines. Enhancing the efficiency of monthly closing tasks by implementing new processes.
Facilitating communication within the organization and with external partners to obtain transaction information and resolve any issues.
Maintaining up-to-date and effective written accounting policies and procedures.
Proposing and organizing training sessions for the accounting team, utilizing both internal and external resources.
Taking the lead in implementing new systems, applications, and tools from the accounting perspective.

You're good at

You possess a degree in Business Administration or Finance with a strong understanding of IFRS.
You have proven experience in consolidation, adept at bridging the gap between statutory and group reporting requirements.
Being able to inspire and empower team members to reach their full potential, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and growth.
You have an analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail, capable of seeing the bigger picture. Exceptional time management and prioritization skills.
You are solution-oriented and highly organized and proactive and initiative-driven. You can adapt to short timelines and shifting priorities, ensuring all tasks are completed promptly.
Open communication in stressful situations, actively proposing solutions. Learning from past experiences to improve workload organization and working methods.
Fluency in verbal and written English is a must, as it's our primary means of communication.
