Duties and Responsibilities:
- Uphold and evangelize Agile values and principles to deliver business objectives.
- Organize and facilitate team ceremonies: Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Retrospectives
- Work with the team(s)’ Product Owners and team members to define sprint objectives prior to each sprint planning session.
- Proactively identify project and team risks and take necessary actions.
- Provide unbiased, honest view into project/team health.
- Act as liaison between the team and others, minimizing interruptions and keeping the team focused on delivering a quality product.
- Facilitate collaboration efforts across multiple time zones, including Estonia, India, Bolivia, and the US. This leads to an untraditional, yet flexible work schedule.
- Identify, understand, and track impediments; help remove them and drive improvements to optimize how the team works.
- Protect the team from complacency, guiding them to seek to improve continuously and to know that there is always more left to learn.
- Use Confluence to organize team artifacts.
- Use Slack to support open and effective communication channels.
Position Proficiencies and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field preferred.
- Scrum Master and/or Product Owner Certifications preferred.
- 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- Must be proficient with the English language (conversational level)
- Must be proficient with the Estonian language (conversational level)
- Must have a firm grasp of Agile practices and mentor development teams effectively.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Confluence, Jira, and Slack

- Successful at building relationships within a team.
- Identify the team’s growth stage (forming, storming, norming, performing) and provide servant leadership to continue team development.
- Ability to leverage and interpret Agile metrics and take appropriate action.
- Ability to see and interpret the “big picture”.
- Know how to leverage online collaboration tools to facilitate working/brainstorming sessions with team members in different locations.
- Ability to use Jira for team’s day-to-day activities, as well as in support of facilitating team ceremonies
- Skilled in facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
- Adaptable and flexible during change and growth.
