Job description
Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for the development, test and maintenance aspects of complex cloud-based product based on micro-service infrastructure. The position will be part of cross-functional agile team, perform research on new technologies, provide technical guidance and lead discussions with fellow software engineers, perform code and design reviews, and actively participate in the development process.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years experience in Software Engineer role
- Development experience with Java
- DevOps experience is a plus
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Groovy
- Strong networking skills with virtual networks experience
- Sound understanding of secure development practices and security testing
- Good understanding of CI/CD processes with Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory and Git experience
- Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructure and Linux administration
- Experience with Docker and applications containerization
- Experience with performance/scalability testing and tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with team and management
- Stellar troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems
- Current with industry trends best practices, able to identify the ones we should implement
- Time and project management skills, with the capability to prioritize and multitask as needed
- Solid and reliable team player
