Job description
At Starship, we work together to shape the future of delivery – while working on complex problems that no one else has solved before. This excites us and keeps us motivated.
Our delivery robots have completed millions of autonomous deliveries to date, travelled millions of miles and we are completing thousands of autonomous deliveries across tens of cities in 5 countries around the world, which is making the world's most autonomous robots in real traffic.
To continue growing our mission, we are looking for a Mapping Technician who will create the maps that the robots follow to make their deliveries. There are several steps in the process and those are mostly divided by team members. The first step is to draw maps based on satellite images, the second step is the robots driving it, and the third step is using the gathered data and creating an autonomous map based on that.
You will create the future by:
- Drawing maps and annotating robot imagery using in-house software
- Taking responsibility for sensibility and safety around annotated data
- Mapping for operational expansions
- Logging and reporting issues that affect performance around the used software
- Performing other minor technical annotation tasks
- Communicating openly about needs
- Working closely with the team
You will fit right in if you:
- Fast learner
- Team player
- Well-organized and data-driven
- Adaptable
- Attentive to details
- Good at spoken and written English language skills
Join the fleet of humans behind the robots and get:
- Flexible working time

Starship Technologies is building a fleet of robots designed to deliver goods locally in 15-45 minutes. The PDD’s (personal delivery devices) have completed thousands of deliveries, travelled tens of thousands of miles, met millions of people and have been tested in over 80 cities around the world to date. They drive autonomously but are monitored by human...
