Join our team as Financial Reporting Team Lead

Luminor Group Finance department is hiring the Financial Reporting Team Lead, which is an important role with assembled responsibility for the financial and regulatory reporting in the Luminor Group. Financial Reporting Team Lead will take a leadership role and people responsibility. Among other, Team Lead will take an essential role in the project of implementation of a new reporting system and calculators to improve the processes and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the reporting.

Financial Reporting Team Lead will manage and oversee pan-Baltic activities of the financial reporting process as well as maintenance of effective internal controls while ensuring regulatory compliance. The reporting scope covers the production and timely delivery of FinRep reporting package to the ECB, relevant reports to the Supervisory Authority and Central Bank in Estonia, providing input to the SRB reports as well as preparation of financial information to the Luminor interim and annual reports.

Financial Reporting Team Lead reports to Head of Regulatory Reporting who takes responsibility over the entire reporting function.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and supervision of the reporting team focusing on the efficiency and quality of the end-to-end processes, development of the internal controls and risk management procedures, establishment, and maintenance of the regulatory reporting framework
  • Delivery of monthly, quarterly, annual, or ad hoc financial reports (FinRep) ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and IFRS
  • Constantly seeking for reporting effective solutions, participation in projects aimed to enhancing the reporting system infrastructure and data management in close cooperation with Technology, Finance, Risk and Data professionals
  • Review and monitoring of regulatory reporting requirements
  • Proficient and proactive collaboration with statutory auditors and Supervisory Authorities in the reporting and auditing matters
  • Leading the team of reporting professionals, mentoring and supporting continuous growth and development of the key personnel in the reporting area to ensure talent development across the function
  • Building collaborative and supportive culture within the function, enhancing knowledge sharing, taking on a positive and constructive approach in cooperation and giving honest and constructive feedback, ensuring high performance in the function
  • Delivery of monthly, quarterly, annual, or ad hoc financial and / or regulatory reports ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and IFRS

 

Skills and expectations:

  • MSc degree in economics, banking, finance, accounting or business administration
  • At least 4-5 years’ relevant working experience in a leading accounting or reporting position within a fast- paced and dynamic environment (banking sector, other financial institution or major auditing firm)
  • Experience in designing and implementing process / system improvements and controls, knowledge and experience in finance or accounting, financial and regulatory reporting processes
  • Strong leadership skills, including ability to motivate and lead team of professionals, inspire trust and confidence within the team, with peers, management and external partners, enabling the smooth execution of the duties
  • Curiosity, critical thinking, “can-do” attitude and constructive response to challenges
  • Key eye for detail, ability to work efficiently in a highly collaborative setting, manage or participate in multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills to convey information in a clear and concise manner to the team, organization and external stakeholders
  • Full working proficiency in English, ability to work comfortably with senior business management
