The main responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • establishing relations with new clients
  • identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and managing the most important local sales opportunities
  • giving sales presentations, drafting proposals, and sales contracts
  • visiting clients to better understand their businesses and provide best suited solutions
  • creating offers and quote rates
  • identify and resolve client concerns
  • prepare status reports on activity, closings, follow-ups, and completion of goals.

    When working in this role, apart from completing the tasks assigned to it, you will serve as a back-up for colleagues in the case of their absence.

To be successful in this position, you should demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • several years of experience in selling freight forwarding services
  • good working knowledge of written and spoken English, Estonian, and Russian
  • be outgoing and service- and client-oriented
  • autonomous, proactive and creative
  • well-organised with a good sense of order and overview.

We are looking for an ambitious, results driven manager, to run our business development operations from the new office in Tallinn. This is an ideal position for a person with several years of experience in developing freight forwarding sales, who knows the Estonian market, and has a pro-active attitude towards winning new business.

What will the job involve:

The Business Development Manager shall be responsible for the company’s focus on identifying and acquiring new clients, as well as maintaining relationships with existing ones. You will be in daily contact with customers, suppliers, and partners located around the world. You will also perform administrative tasks such as invoicing and creating price estimates. The person we are seeking must be able to work independently.
