We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our surveillance and radio communication team. We are developing our own software and hardware products and delivering complex mission-critical solutions in vessel traffic management, border surveillance and general situational awareness areas. Our customer base is really around the world but major sites are Indonesia, Malaisia, Northern Africa and Gulf-region.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Configure and administer development and testing environments as well as build tools (CI).
- Plan and implement repeatable builds of the surveillance and radio communication solutions family of products.
- Package software, document the installation procedures of the software.
- Support our customers in installing, configuring and maintaining software.
- Respond to support requests, help customers to resolve errors.
As a successful candidate you must have:
- Work experience as a professional software engineer or systems administrator for at least 2 years; experience as a devops engineer is a big bonus.
- Experience with issue tracking systems (JIRA, Redmine or similar).
- Sound experience with Linux and understanding of networking.
- General experience with virtualization and container platforms (VirtualBox, Xen).
- Interest in devops engineering, automation and repeatable processes.
- Ability to think critically, take initiative and ask “why?”.
- Good spoken and written English.
You will stand out by having any of the following:
- Practical experience with Debian package management system and modifying Debian install images.
- Interest in High Availability systems and databases.
