Data QA Engineer

Our Business Intelligence team makes information accessible. Together with the right technology we deliver the foundation for highly automated and effective CRM solutions.

We are looking for a Data QA Engineer, who is passionate about data and attentive to details. Your main challenge is to support data engineers so that they can keep the high pace of development in a constantly changing environment, being sure that you will find all the missing data pieces if needed. At the same time, you should help BI developers focus on the business needs rather than data issues. This is a very important role to ensure that data used for analytics and business intelligence is consistent and reliable.

It this position you will have an opportunity to:

• Be responsible for data quality, consistency, and reliability throughout entire company’s BI landscape
• Get priceless experience and widen your expertise while collaborating with colleagues: from data source technical owners and data engineers to BI developers and end-users
• Make an impact on the data platform by being actively involved in process of making data create an added value for the business

To be successful in this role you need to have:

• At least 2 years in similar or any data related role
• Superb SQL skills (subqueries, CTEs, analytical functions)
• Extraordinary attention to details
• General understanding of BI landscape: from data sources and data warehouses to BI tools and reporting, so that you can estimate the impact of data quality across entire system
• Experience with writing tickets and documentation based on your findings (Jira, Confluence)
• English: professional working proficiency

It would be beneficial if you also have:

• Previous experience of working in gambling or gaming industry
• Cloud platforms experience (GCP preferred)
• Python:
  • general understanding of data structures and data manipulation (lists, dictionaries, comprehensions)
  • familiarity with Pandas library (dataframes, aggregation, filtering)

• Familiarity with dbt and jinja
• General understanding of BI tools (Tableau preferred) to distinguish layers where data quality issues appear
