Cybernetica is looking for an ambitious Business Development Representative with a consultative mindset to join our expanding growth team. You will help governments and enterprise customers understand how to solve complex challenges around secure data exchange and interoperability and as a result initiate meaningful impact in countries around the world.
You will work on the front line of our growth engine and act as the initial point of contact for new target accounts and inbound leads. You’ll develop relationships with potential customers and act as a trusted advisor in the awareness and education phases of the process. To bring this all together, you’ll rely on research, sales and marketing skills and engage in both outbound and inbound activities.
As you’ll be reporting to the Head of Business Development, there will be an opportunity and expectation to influence the growth playbook, based on practical experience gained from the field and a career prospect of becoming an Account Executive or taking a leadership role for demand generation activities.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you are expected to continuously learn about the wider industry (e-governance, e-health, enterprise solutions etc.) and act as a subject matter expert. There will be heavy focus on presentations, leading meetings and developing sales enablement materials. For this you’ll need to have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. You should be a great writer, speaker and listener.
As a business development representative you’ll:
- Target, educate and develop target accounts in outbound motions;
- Create target account lists, put together and execute prospecting plans and penetrate key accounts in target markets;
- Identify key stakeholders, individuals and relationships within target accounts;
- Research business objectives, initiatives and match those with our value proposition and solutions;
- Initiate new relationships and interact with opportunities to guide them through their buying journey as a trusted advisor.
- Effectively communicate value against business needs and be able to react to objections and competitive questions;
- Nurture inbound leads by educating and developing them;
- Follow-up on inbound leads and qualify opportunities; provide appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects;
- Work with other parts of the company, including marketing to develop materials, support special events, webinars etc;
- Set the target accounts and qualified leads up for handover to an Account Executive.
Requirements:
A successful candidate has intellectual capability to become a guide on interoperability and secure data exchange in a matter of months and have the curiosity to keep learning for years to come. In addition to product knowledge, you’ll work on educating yourself on best practices related to complex sales.
As a sales development representative you should have:
- Strong and professional communication skills -- written, verbal, presentation and listening skills;
- Desktop research skills and LinkedIn know-how;
- Experience in e-governance or digital transformation strongly desired;
- At least 2-3 years of experience in business client facing roles;
- BA/BS degree or relevant experience;
- Positive attitude and ability to deal with rejection;
- The ability to gain the trust of executive level professionals;
- Fearlessness in talking to new people every day from different parts of the world;
- Ability to explain complex issues clearly and be able to work independently.
