Become part of the Group Finance team as
GROUP SENIOR FINANCIAL CONTROLLER


As a part of the Group Finance team, you will be working directly with the Group CFO and will perform a key role in coordinating financial activity in the group. 


The role is a leadership role
, and we are looking for a self-starter, driven individual who can not only think out of the box but also roll up the sleeves and solve business problems, as the business continues its journey of growth and expansions.
You will be the functional leader to Finance and Accounting team leaders in our subsidiaries. You will be supported by a capable and diverse team of Financial Analyst (direct report), Chief Accountant, two Group Financial Controllers and Online Business Controller.

You should be looking at opportunities to improve, simplify the reports to look for managing the workload while ensuring an adequate and consistent level of information availability.

You will also own various forms of reports and the tasks, including but not limited to tracking the progress of initiatives, discussing the business progress with business leaders and management board and various segmentation analysis.

The role has a combination of strategical work and many hands-on tasks. A strong candidate is technically skilled in finance, highly analytical, strong communicator with some leadership experience.
The ability to run your own team while also guiding, training and supporting others is a necessary skill. A degree of technical expertise will enable you to guide the team in the continuation of existing processes while improving processes to create further efficiency improvement.

Key accountabilities and priorities:

Management reporting
Single source of truth – Single point of ownership for all financial reports within the group. Responsible for timely, accurate and complete readout of management reports within the group. You need to secure that timelines are adhered to, within the Group team and various country teams to deliver the numbers with appropriate correctness, rigour and timely submissions.
IFRS Reports and Audit
You will be a key partner to the Group Chief Accountant in the group consolidation exercise on a monthly basis. Ensure timely and correct finance report. Lead the creation of IFRS statements for various stakeholders on a quarterly basis.
Look for avenues to improve the closing time and protocol and bring it to the best in the class financial closing discipline. You will own the preparation of the annual financial report of the group and lead the discussion with the Auditor during the limited and annual audits.
Budgeting
Coordinate Group budgeting process across countries and business units
Prioritization/Time Management
Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, proactively identify opportunities to improve analysis, and maintain positive employee morale. Allocate resources and prioritize projects to balance the support of broad initiatives, recurring reports and ad-hoc analysis.
Leadership/Mentorship
Serve as a visible leader for the Group Finance Operations. You will be able to manage teams across diverse cultures and travel to locations as needed and be the aspirational leader that people can look up to. Leverage team members across the country teams to provide additional support to the group business and to manage the workflow in a smarter way.

The Group Senior Financial Controller reports to the Group CFO, Kaia Kivistik.

Experience and skills set expected
• Previous experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in finance and/or auditing/control teams with at least one stint/role as a Manager, responsible for leading teams.
• Ability to communicate all analyses, findings, conclusions, and recommendations to relevant business, operating and finance constituents in the group.
• Knowledge of various valuation methods, including but not limited to DCF valuations will be a great asset.
• Experience with Microsoft office suite especially Excel and direct experience of working with ERP systems for accounting and controlling.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related topics.
• A qualified Accounting degree is preferred but not necessary. Any business degree will be a plus.
• Very good command of English language (English is the working language).
