We are now looking for great Quality Engineers to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to drive the development of product quality!
What you will do
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough exploratory and regression testing throughout the development life cycle
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
General Requirements
- You're dedicated to making high-quality software and putting it through its paces via thorough testing
- You're familiar with a variety of testing levels including integration tests
- You can write code in Java, Javascript/TypeScript or other similar languages
- You're up to speed on the particularities of modern web development, both Front-End and Back-End from a testing perspective
- You have experience using testing-related toolsets, including automation, continuous integration, and tasks management
- You're not afraid to trawl through SQL databases, log files responses to find answers
- You're intimately familiar with Chrome's DevTools, Firebug and similar web authoring and debugging tools
- You care about code optimization
- You're flexible enough to also approach testing from business logic, design, and user-experience perspectives
- You're able to display critical and analytical thinking, attention to detail and creative problem creation skills
Nice to haves
- You have prior work experience in the IT industry, as a test engineer or otherwise
- You are familiar with mobile test automation frameworks, like Appium
- You are familiar with DevOps
- You have a degree in an IT-related field (or are closing in on it)
