Dairy Production Specialist

Qualification: 

Applicants should have a
• thorough understanding of factors that influence cattle health, reproduction, feeding, milk production, and cattle observation.
• Proven work experience track. International background would be a significant asset.
• University degree in animal science/ livestock production/ dairy management, related subjects.
• Proficient software use on feed ration balancing and extensively herd management software.
• Advanced English skills and driving license (obligatory).

General skills and ambitions needed
• A ‘can do’ attitude, proactive, honest, flexible, curious, and reliable.
• Ability and motivation to work in a dedicating and challenging real teamwork approach.
• Acceptance and own interest in clear operation task planning and in matching milestones.

• Monitor, control and benchmark dairy production key figures.
• Propose and ensure standardized and unified procedures and processes.
• Listen to our farm management personal to understand their needs and requirements.
• Be or at least get familiar with “Low-Stress Stockmanship”.
• Act as liaison between farm and group management, our veterinarian, and external service providers and suppliers.
• Support and ensure our farms to follow and fulfill all related livestock specific legislative framework, obligations and authorizations.
