Tasks
- Responsible for the day to day management of the sales team
- Communicate to team about the sales targets and creating the individual performance plans together with each Travel Consultant
- Monitor sales team performance – develop sales team member skills to ensure a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales targets are met
- Identify sales opportunities from calls, e-mails or other channels and present benefits and key features of products to sales team through coaching or training to maximize sales and excellent quality
- Ensure objectives, sales standards, processes and structures are appropriate and embedded throughout the team
- Report all serious sales support issues and possible monetary exposure to supervisor immediately along with suggestions for addressing problem
- Provide detailed reports on the team’s activities and the performance reports to upper management with the recommendations for improvements in general processes and systems
- Work together with colleagues from other departments to improve efficiency and overall service delivery
- Be available for crisis training and on-call support when required.
- Receive and make guest phone calls and/or emails when necessary including escalated issues
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience in managing a reservations/contact center/sales team is preferred
- Good knowledge and expertise in sales processes
- Effective communication, also planning and influencing skills
- Excellent in English (written and spoken)
- Self-driven with a desire to develop others
- Reflects a positive "I'm on board" approach and support management goals and call center initiatives through words and actions.
- Ability to create a pleasant and fun sales atmosphere and encourage teamwork and ownership to motivate and develop team members
