You will be reporting to the Director of Core IT & Applications which is in Denmark together with the majority of the infrastructure team. DHI's Core IT, is responsible for maintaining all the software that runs their business, including ERP, CRM, BI and HRM as well as a broad portfolio of task specific applications primarily related to their advisory and software businesses. DHI's ecosystem consists mainly of Microsoft tools and platforms, but they are by no means MS exclusive.
What you will be responsible for
The Azure Cloud Engineer for DHI will be responsible for building and maintain their infrastructure in Azure with the Azure Architect. They use Infrastructure as Code so the ideal candidate will have experience with Terraform and PowerShell. You will be a part of a friendly and diverse team striving to provide their clients with outstanding technical advice and customer service. The successful candidate will be someone who has deep knowledge of On-premises infrastructure and Azure.
In this role you will:
- Daily operation tasks like the creation of subscriptions, VMs, backups, and patching using Azure Update Manager.
- Assists projects with general Azure guidance, troubleshooting, cost optimization, etc.
- Automize more of our daily operations tasks using Azure DevOps pipelines and Azure Automation runbooks.
- Administer Azure Reservations.
- Together with our Azure architect extend our Azure cloud architecture design documentation.
- Create best practices for Azure documentation for our colleagues.
- Bi-lateral coordinator with local and global colleagues
Qualifications and skills
- 3+ years of experience in Azure administration.
- Experience with Azure Cloud, including deploying, configuring, and maintaining resources in the cloud environment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems in Azure.
- Deep knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional skills in written and verbal English.
