To support our growth and ambitions, we are building an energy trading team where you will manage short-term physical power positions while ensuring full compliance with market rules and operational constraints.
We are looking for a PHYSICAL ELECTRICITY TRADER to focus on optimizing and selling electricity production, actively contributing to shaping processes from the outset, within a regulated energy environment. The job location is flexible, we have offices in Tallinn, Tartu and Pärnu. Please find more information at https://gren.com
Your key responsibility areas include:
- Executing daily and intraday physical power trading across Baltic markets.
- Selling generation from five CHP assets, ensuring compliance with market rules and optimizing revenues.
- Monitoring energy market fundamentals such as supply, demand, and prices.
- Optimizing asset dispatch, balancing portfolios and following operational routines.
- Cooperating with CHP teams to develop and adjust trading strategies.
- Collaborating closely with operations, portfolio management, and IT to improve trading tools and automation.
- Communicating with grid and market operators to ensure smooth operations.
Desired experiences and skills:
- 2+ years’ experience in physical power trading, scheduling, portfolio management, or power generation.
- Direct experience with Baltic power markets (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) and Nordpool.
- Solid analytical skills; confident working with data and trading tools.
- Practical knowledge of generation asset operations, balancing, and market requirements.
- Very good English skills; other language skills are beneficial.
- Programming or data analytics (Python, SQL, PowerBI) is beneficial.
