Job description
SpectroCoin An innovative crypto-asset service provider based in Estonia. SpectroCoin recognizes risk management as a critical function for staying ahead in the dynamic crypto-financial industry. We are expanding our Risk Management team and looking for an experienced Risk Officer who is passionate about proactive risk management across the entire enterprise. In this role, you will lead our Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA) and oversee risk controls in compliance, financial, operational, and IT areas playing a pivotal part in keeping our business secure, compliant, and resilient.
You should find it interesting to:
- Monitor daily financial and market risks and implement appropriate control measures to protect the business.
- Conduct regular EWRA to identify and evaluate risks across all departments, including Compliance (e.g. AML/CTF), Finance, Operations, and IT.
- Provide oversight and guidance on risk management across the company, ensuring each business unit adheres to risk policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collect and analyze data from various sources to prepare comprehensive risk assessment reports and quarterly risk management updates for senior leadership.
- Develop and refine risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks in line with industry best practices and evolving regulations.
- Manage the risk incident process record and investigate risk events, perform root cause analysis and prepare detailed incident reports with corrective action plans.
- Assist with ad-hoc risk management requests and advise cross-functional teams on risk identification and mitigation strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging risks in the crypto, fintech, and financial sectors, and recommend proactive measures to address them.
We would love you to have:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 1+ years) in risk management, preferably in the financial, banking, or crypto industry. Experience implementing and monitoring risk management systems or reporting frameworks is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and solve complex problems.
- High proficiency in Excel and SQL for data analysis; experience with Python is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Estonian, with the ability to clearly present risk findings and recommendations to various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Genuine interest in crypto-assets, fintech, banking, and financial markets you stay informed about industry developments and emerging risks.
