Job description

SpectroCoin is looking for a Legal Counsel to take charge of both internal and external legal matters, focusing on regulatory compliance across our crypto and financial services. In this role, you'll play a key part in drafting legal strategies, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations, and helping the company stay ahead of evolving requirements, including the upcoming Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulation.

Responsibilities

Advise stakeholders on legal aspects related to MiCA and other regulatory requirements.
Keep up to date with updates from the Financial Supervisory Authority (FSA).
Review and ensure all legal documents align with crypto industry regulations.
Assist in the upkeep and continuous enhancement of AML/CTF and broader compliance procedures.
Interpret and apply regulatory requirements related to Crypto Asset Service Providers (CASP) and incorporate best practices into company policies and documentation.
Evaluate potential legal risks tied to business activities and propose mitigation strategies.
Provide regular compliance and risk reports to internal stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Monitor legislative developments, ensuring internal policies and processes remain compliant with any regulatory changes.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure operational workflows comply with both current and upcoming legal requirements.

Requirements

A higher education in Law.
Law, Legal Consulting, and Legal Document Preparation skills.
Excellent communication in both Estonian and English, in written and spoken forms.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Hands-on experience dealing with regulatory shifts in the finance or crypto sector.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements within the EU and Estonia.
Experience in crypto, fintech, or financial services industries is an advantage.

Salary

Salary for this position ranges from 1500 to 3000 EUR gross (before taxes). The final offer depends on your experience, competence, and motivation
