Purpose of the role:

The Front Office Manager plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience by overseeing all daily operations of the Front Office. This includes managing guest check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and handling guest inquiries in line with The Burman Hotels Standard Operating Procedures and corporate guidelines. The Front Office Manager also leads and supervises front office staff, ensuring they deliver excellent service and swiftly resolve any guest issues. The role requires efficient inter-departmental communication and collaboration to optimize occupancy and guest satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will be: 
    • Provide polite, professional, and effective service while adapting to guest needs.
    • Identify and promptly address guest needs and requests.
    • Ensure full compliance with The Burman Hotels policies, procedures, and standards.
    • Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Concierge, In-Room Dining, and Guest Services.
    • Recruit, train, and supervise front office staff to maintain high customer service standards.
    • Oversee smooth guest check-ins, registration, and departure processes.
    • Manage situations involving walked in or overbooked guests with professionalism, offering solutions as needed.
    • Record guest complaints, issues, and special requests accurately.
    • Oversee billing processes, handle cash and credit transactions accurately, and prepare financial reports with the finance department.
      Note: This list represents key duties, but additional tasks may be assigned as part of the role.
What we expect from you:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Front Office role within an upscale or luxury hotel.
    • Bachelors Degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred. 
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of guest service. Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Fluent in both English and Estonian; a third language is preferred.
    • Proficient in yield management and promoting available rooms, with strong skills in property management systems (preferably MEWS) and solid computer proficiency.
    • Comfortable working under pressure and maintaining confidentiality regarding guest and hotel information.
    • Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as needed.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
