YOUR COOL ROLE

Your main responsibility will be working in a dynamic, fast-paced and exciting environment using the latest technologies. You will be comfortable in working within an agile and creative development environment on a wide variety of exciting products and features, reacting to constantly evolving and rapidly expanding markets. The successful candidate will be a part of a team of IT Administrators within the Information Technology department.

YOUR COOL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proactively maintain and develop all hardware and related services, to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime.
• Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs.
• Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments.
• Fault finding and log analysis information for reporting of performance exceptions.
• Problem management. Analyse frequently occurring issues and solve root cause.
• Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning.
• Manage coordinate and implement software upgrades, patches, and hotfixes.
• Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks.
• Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure and other company teams to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
• Creating and maintaining technical documents.
• Occasional out-of-hours maintenance work to minimize company disruptions.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM A COOL LINUX ADMINSTRATOR?

• Experience working as a System Administrator for 3+ years.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux, preferably Ubuntu or Debian based.
• Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and concepts.
• Skilled in Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting.
• Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP.
• Additional Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC) are advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proactively support and assist other members of the team.
