Learning & Development Manager

Job purpose is to design, develop and deploy learning and development solutions, and knowledge management platforms and address training needs and demands for systems, products and processes.

Main tasks:

  • Effectively manage and develop a team of Learning Specialist and Knowledge Base Content Developers
  • Design and effectively deploy the learning strategy, conduct TNA and implement learning effective methods for all learning solutions
  • Build and roll out Talent Development Programs in partnership with HR and Stakeholders
  • Partner with the Quality and Analytics Team in upholding the brand-agreed quality standards
  • Owning the establishment and deployment of a robust Knowledge Base
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Process Excellence, Product Development, Brand & Experience, and other functional areas within the Marketing unit
  • Ensure awareness and knowledge of Operational KPIs while considering learning and knowledge management solutions
  • Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions

Hurtigruten Estonia OÜ is the Estonian branch of the company, focused on sales and services including a wide range of support functions. In Hurtigruten Customer and Sales Centre in Tallinn, there are over 200 employees from 20 different countries. Hurtigruten is continuously growing, more ships will be operating in new destinations, and markets are growing. So we are looking for more travel and tourism enthusiasts to join our Team.

Hurtigruten's expedition ships offer Expedition voyages to Antarctica, Greenland, Iceland, Spitsbergen, the Americas, Europe and across the Atlantic Ocean. Hurtigruten is also contributing to a new strategy of more responsible and sustainable operations in the cruise industry to leave a smaller footprint in the pristine areas we operate.

Who we need:

  • Minimum five years experience in Learning and Development, managing training and knowledge management systems while being able to design and deploy blended learning solutions
  • Contact Centre / Shared services experience
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
  • Familiarity with the Knowledge base, e-learning platform and practices
  • Proficient in MS office and LMS
  • High level of experience and interest in working with cross-country and cross-region team members in program management, planning and execution
  • Creative and entrepreneurial mindset and motivated to multi-task
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
