We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Go Developer who wants to grow with Askend!

The aim of the Senior Go Developer role is to contribute to the development of a system with very high impact and importance designed for emergency center employees to ensure rapid coordination and efficient response during critical situations. You will play a key part in enhancing public safety and directly influencing how emergency services operate across Estonia.

To be successful in it, you need to:

Have 5+ years of hands-on experience with Go (Golang), including developing scalable backend systems
Experience working with PostgreSQL or another relational database in at least one project
Experience working in container-based development environments (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
Good understanding of modern microservices architecture and CI/CD practices
Have knowledge and experience in agile methodology
Have a can-do attitude and be initiative & adaptable
Be a team player who cares about colleagues and clients
Be able to express yourself and collaborate effectively in Estonian

Your role is to:

Understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
Write well-designed, efficient and testable code
Create meaningful solutions using the latest technologies
Collaborate in a supportive team environment and mentor less experienced developers
Follow and promote engineering best practices in your daily work
