The Role

As the Head of People, you will take the lead on stewarding an innovative hospitality concept through rapid growth across Europe. This is an exciting and dynamic role on the management team, and the most senior People leadership position at Bob W. Youll bring a blend of people leadership, the ability to build complex functions from scratch, and a strong commercial mindset, all balanced with a healthy dose of empathy. After all, hospitality is a people business. Youll be responsible for nurturing and evolving Bob Ws culture as we continue to scale.

This role is based in Tallinn, Estonia. We will not review your application unless you currently live in Tallinn or are willing to relocate from within the EU.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead and grow our People function, including People Ops, Office Management, and Recruitment, into a lean, mission-driven team.
  • Own and evolve our culture by partnering with leaders and embedding our values across every people process.
  • Oversee all aspects of People operations: recruitment, onboarding, L&D, total rewards, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Champion and implement scalable frameworks for career development and compensation.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership to drive strategy and organisational design across the business.
  • Build a best-in-class L&D program that drives growth and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws across our operating markets, working with legal and external partners as needed.
  • Own the People strategy and integration plan for M&A activity and new market launches.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that enhance employee experience, engagement, and performance.

Our 5-star candidate:

  • Brings senior-level HR/People leadership experience in a high-growth or international environment, along with a strong track record of building and scaling People teams and processes from the ground up.
  • Has proven experience managing and owning the People function across multiple countries and legal entities, along with supporting cross-border teams.
  • Must have a track record of working directly with legal counsel on employment matters. 
  • While comprehensive knowledge of employment law and jurisdictional differences across all our markets isn't expected, you should be comfortable quickly getting to grips with local legislation and law in 10+ countries.
  • Balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution, especially in lean team settings.
  • Has deep knowledge of employment law, compensation, talent development, DEI, and organisational design.
  • Communicates with empathy, clarity, and confidence, building trust across all levels of the company.
  • Is a strong decision-maker and problem-solver, comfortable navigating ambiguity and change.
  • Brings a growth mindset, a coaching-style leadership, and a passion for building inclusive, high-performing teams.
  • Is fluent in English (other languages are a bonus) and authorised to work in Estonia.
  • Embraces hybrid work but thrives on the energy of in-person teamwork and is happy to spend most weekdays in the office.
