Must-have characteristics:
- University degree in process engineering
- At least 5 years commissioning experience with pressure equipment
- Skilled in plant commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and resolving plant-related issues
- Strong technical expertise in operating facilities, machinery, controls, and process safety standards
- Strong interpersonal skills handling various stakeholders and experience in signing off delivered equipment and installations
- Ability to read P&IDs, interpret design curves and ensure environmental and safety regulations compliance
- Pressure equipment supervisor and operator certificate (obtained or willing to obtain)
- Willingness to travel and to spend time at customer sites for installation
Nice-to-have characteristics:
- Experience in hydrogen equipment or electrolysers
Role overview
We're looking for a driven Commissioning Manager to join our team at Stargate Hydrogen. You will be part of a team that works on unique green hydrogen solutions and join us in making sure our systems get deployed successfully at customer sites. You will first focus on overseeing the Väo system in Tallinn, the first full value chain of hydrogen production in the Baltics. In the future, you will focus on system commissioning in other customer locations.
What does the day-to-day look like in this role?
- Oversee unit commissioning, startup, and process development strategies
- Be the primary technical point of contact for other project stakeholders (such as sub-contractors or suppliers of other equipment on site)
- Manage controls, tuning, and advanced systems and provide operational evaluations, guidance, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain and submit commissioning documentation, ensuring compliance with performance parameters, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Support continuous improvement, maintenance, and legal/safety compliance in commissioning activities.
- Provide operational guidance to ensure equipment and systems' safety, reliability, and maintainability.
