Job description

As an AML Officer within our Transaction Monitoring Team, you will be responsible for researching and analyzing account transactions to detect money laundering activities and report these activities, if any, to the MLRO; also, to ensure that we are compliant with the AML policies, national and international regulations, and industry guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • To identify unusual/suspicious activity through reviewing/analyzing account activity
  • To ensure a basic understanding of the relationship and characteristics of the customer to determine whether escalation for further investigation is required
  • To investigate, analyze and resolve transaction monitoring alerts
  • To collect, review and verify documentation and information about the client
  • Prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SAM) and other reports
  • To prepare descriptive alert narratives that describe the who, what, where, when, why, and how, including determination if the activity is deemed unusual/suspicious or not, and any recommendations for further review, if necessary

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
  • 2+ of experience in AML Transaction Monitoring, encompassing both live and retrospective transaction monitoring.
  • Experience preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SAM).
  • Experience with a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) would be a big plus.
  • Excellent critical and analytical thinking.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and to multi-task.
  • Fluency in English and Estonian (written and spoken) is essential.

Salary
Salary for this position ranges from 2000 to 3000 EUR (before taxes). The final offer depends on your experience, competence, and motivation
