Requirements for candidates

  • Education: Degree in Chemical Engineering, ceramic industry, or a relevant field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in chemical technology within industrial companies, specifically in the grinding, dispersing, milling, and mixing process commissioning, and ramp-up. Experience in launching new products is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with manufacturing processes, production equipment, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Work Environment: Thrive in an agile, dynamic, and innovative environment, with exposure to multicultural and international teams.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong goal orientation, curiosity, and eagerness to learn. Excellent English written and oral skills (knowledge of Estonian, Russian, Finnish, and other languages is a plus).

Job description


As a Chemical Production Engineer at Elcogen, your mission is to lead the scaling up, installation, and optimization of our chemical manufacturing processes. You will ensure the efficient deployment and ramp-up of new production lines, driving improvements that enhance productivity and quality. Your role is vital in supporting our goal of delivering advanced green hydrogen technologies.

As a Chemical Production Engineer you will be involved in:
  • Responsible for scaling up existing (slurry, paste preparation, oxide powder synthesis) manufacturing processes and new processes for mass production.
  • Participation in process equipment and tools selection, engineering, manufacturing, and FAT
  • Drive the installation, commissioning, SAT, validation, and ramp-up of new production equipment in existing and new facilities
  • Assessment of the capacity and yield of the new production lines
  • During ramp-up, troubleshooting and monitoring production parameters, identifying deviations, and implementing corrective actions to maintain quality and productivity targets and schedule
  • Collect and transfer lessons learned, information, and data from the different lines and facilities working according to continuous improvement principles.
  • Implement LEAN principles and work towards production process automation where it is applicable
  • Train manufacturing personnel on new processes and equipment, ensuring smooth implementation and adherence to standard operating procedures.
