We are seeking a talented Accountant to join our team based in Tallinn, Estonia. Our Accounting team is focused on accurately reporting financial information and contributing valuable insights to a range of exciting, ever-evolving projects.
You'll primarily be responsible for managing US accounting tasks. While your working hours typically follow Estonian 9 am-5 pm time, readiness for evening meetings is essential to accommodate our global operations and collaboration with our US accounting team.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes for accurate recording of transactions
- Assist with monthly revenue and intercompany invoicing
- Ensure accuracy in billing by matching purchase orders and invoices
- Utilize software applications effectively for efficient processing of AP/AR
- Supervise expense report processing and reimbursements with proper documentation
- Monitor costs across departments and projects, preparing variance reports
- Support monthly and annual financial closings and assist in audit documentation
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity
- Collaborate with other departments to address financial issues and support initiatives
- Participate in special projects and provide financial advisory support as needed

What we hope You'll bring to the table:
- Experience working as an accountant responsible for end-to-end processes for at least 3+ years
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
- Ability to summarize, analyze, and report financial transactions to the Accounting Manager
- In-depth understanding of Estonian GAAP or IFRS
- Advanced MS Excel and computer skills
- Very good written and verbal English language skills
- High personal and professional integrity, with a commitment to accuracy and adherence to correct processes
- Initiative and motivation to research evolving possibilities to automate processes
- Creativity and acumen to conceive, develop, and implement innovative approaches to tasks
- Higher education in Accounting, Finance, or relevant
Beneficial:
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with system integrations and migrations
- Understanding of databases and data warehouses
