Airline & Travel Services Contracts Manager (temp. for 12 months)

We are looking for an Airline & Travel Services Contracts Manager with a 12-month contract.
This role reports to the Head of Flight & Tour Operations and can be located either in the Tallinn office in Estonia or the London office in the UK.
Hurtigruten and HX are undergoing business transformations requiring all airline and travel agreements to be renegotiated globally. With an emphasis on airline negotiations and supplier relationship development, you will use your proven track record to secure industry-leading agreements. You will also use your expertise to support IATA & ATOL license reviews, GDS agreements, crew & corporate hotel contracting and rail agreements globally to support the business transition.
You will have a strong commercial awareness and partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers across all markets to deliver KPIs linked to this area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Airline contract negotiation, execution and implementation
- Hotel, rail and other ad hoc travel services negotiation, execution and implementation
- Strong GDS knowledge with high competency in airline fare rules and fare implementation
- Working knowledge of Sabre preferred
- Liaison between external suppliers and internal stakeholders including IT & RM
- In-house system set-up and maintenance of flight inventory
- Support market trading activities with regular and ad hoc analysis
- Perform regular comparisons of airline contracts & schedules
- Support regular stakeholder meetings with all markets
- Support the management of existing, and introduction of new, travel suppliers for Air, Hotels, Transfers and other ancillary services
- Invoice processing, consolidation and tracking
- Improving communication flow with all areas that work with Hotel, Air and Transfer solutions for the business
- Supporting quarterly review meetings with the Markets, Suppliers, Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing teams to explore all commercial opportunities and review KPIs
- Any other related duties as assigned by the manager
- Qualification: Degree or equivalent experience
- 5-10 years experience in the travel industry managing airline relationships
- Structured, methodical analytical approach
- Analytical experience dealing with Airlines and Hotels
- MS Excel to advanced level and knowledge of Power BI
- Exposure to working in a commercial environment with strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication, engagement and influencing skills
- Team player, highly motivated and results-driven with a positive can do attitude
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment - Passion and tenacity for solving problems through creativity and resourcefulness
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity by creating structure and prioritizing effectively - Results orientation that is balanced between both long-term objectives and short-term performance
