Cybernetica is a research and development intensive ICT company that develops and sells mission-critical software systems and products, maritime surveillance and radio communications solutions. Cybernetica has been an active counterpart in developing critical e-Government systems, such as the Estonian X-Road, i-Voting, e-Customs and others. Today Cybernetica delivers its systems to across 35 countries in the world.

We are looking for an UX/UI Designer to join Cybernetica. You will be working together with a team of smart, competent and highly skilled specialists who are the best in their field.

Your main responsibilities will be to

  • Develop a modular design system based on the atomic design methodology, ensuring scalability and ease of updating
  • Design reusable UI components
  • Adapt and tailor well-known design systems, such as Google's Material Design, to suit specific use cases and the overall product style
  • Implement the design system on Figma for further use during the project
  • Update low-fidelity designs with UI elements and visual style from the design system, ensuring consistency and coherence across all pages, flows, and features
  • Experience/knowledge conducting usability testing and A/B testing to gather valuable insights and feedback on the user experience
  • Analyze testing results and provide data-driven recommendations for design improvements
  • Collaborate with the team to integrate testing insights into the existing design to enhance its usability and effectiveness
  • Present comprehensive visuals to stakeholders for feedback and continuously seek improvements based on their input

As a successful candidate, you must have

  • Proven experience in designing UI/UX for software applications or digital products (3 years)
  • Proficiency in Figma, Azure, Adobe XD or similar
  • Strong understanding of UX principles and best practices
  • Experience in conducting usability testing and A/B testing to gather user feedback
  • Knowledge of atomic design methodology and designing modular UI components
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and adapt design solutions based on feedback
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • A portfolio showcasing previous design projects and demonstrating a strong understanding of user-centred design
  • Very good English skills

You will stand out by having any of the following:

  • Knowledge and experience with digital identity or e-government solutions
  • Experience with international projects
  • Good Estonian skills
